A Chicago man is convicted of consipring to distribute over five hundred pounds of marijuana from Sacramento.

William Brock of Glen Ellyn, Illinois was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

A federal jury returned the verdict after a two-and-a half-day trial in a federal courtroom here in Sacramento.  According to testimony Brock was the target of an interstate marijuana distribution investigation that led to a warehouse that Brock rent in North Highlands.

Besides the 500 pounds of marijuana, more than 100-thousand cash and over one million in silver buillion and gold and silver coins.

Prosecutors say Brock is looking at the possibility of 40 years in prison.
