Two 19-year-old twin brothers and another young man appeared in Placer County Court this afternoon on charges stemming from this week's car chase and crash that killed a father and his 14-year-old daughter.

Twins Ruslan and Roman Glukhoy appeared in court in what reporters were called "suicide watch" jail jumpsuits.

They are each charged with two counts of murder in the Wednesday deaths of Jose Barriga-Tovar, 35, of Antelope, and his 14-year-old daughter.

The father was driving his daughter to school when their car was struck by a stolen vehicle driven by the twins. A third defendant, Yuriy Murkashev, 21, was charged with conspiracy. His bail was raised to $50,000.

Both the Glukhoy brothers are being held without bail.
