The Sacramento Kings released details today of their big Opening Night ceremonies at Sleep Train Arena tomorrow night.

A purple (instead of red) carpet will be laid out for celebrities who will be attending such as minority co-owner and retired NBA great Shaquille O'Neal and NBA Commissioner David Stern.

Majority owner Vivek Ranadive will be doing a cricket demonstration outside the arena with former NBA great Chris Mullin, Shaq and ex-49ers Roger Craig. (The sport of cricket is popular in Vivek's home country of India.)

Rumors were Katy Perry or Robin Thicke would be performing. Instead, Jay Sean, a popular recording artist of Indian descent, will sing two songs.

Finally if you haven't noticed already, several Sacramento landmarks are going purple.

The Memorial Auditorium and Tower Bridge are already lit in purple lights.  Old City Hall will join them as well, and the dome of the state Capitol goes purple Wednesday night at 6pm.
