Los Angeles Department of Water and Power officials say pipe repairs near UCLA have been completed and crews will now start repaving Sunset Boulevard.

Superintendent Jeff Bray says crews have already paved over the massive hole in the road where water was spraying out last week.

"We will have crews working here until the road is open. I don't know how long that will be," Bray said.

A nine-decade-old cast-iron water main ruptured in the area Tuesday, causing an estimated 20 million gallons of water to flood portions of the university's campus.

Water gushed into several UCLA facilities including Pauley Pavilion, a medical clinic and nearby underground parking structures.

Some 900 vehicles were stranded inside the garages until they were towed out Friday.
