A female elementary school monitor has been arrested on suspicion of committing sexual acts with two students under the age of 14.

The 19-year old was a "team leader" with Starr King Elementary's after-school program according to Sergeant Lisa Bowman,

"Her class was designed for 3rd and 4th graders.  The victims in this case were not part of her class, they attended the after school program..."

Bowman says child abuse detectives from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department investigated for three weeks and determined that Julia Lagos was involved with a total of two students, however,

"none of the sexual acts occured during school hours, or during the after school program hours."

The San Juan Unified School District notified parents and immediately barred Lagos from the school.  Click here to read the notification.

A contract employee through the Mission Oaks Parks and Rec District, Lagos was arrested Tuesday on three counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.  She's since been released on bail.
