The Ice Bucket Challenge continues to make millions for charity.
As of this morning, the ALS Association has received nearly $16 million in donations since the end of July.
Amid the viral social media challenge, more than 307,000 new donors have given money to help fight ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
ALS Association President and CEO Barbara Newhouse notes the outpouring of generosity will help fund groundbreaking research and provide vital support and care services to patients and families.
She says the new-found awareness also empowers ALS advocates.
