The National Rifle Association is suing Sunnyvale, California.

The suit argues that new voter approved gun laws violate the Second Amendment by restricting the ownership of large capacity guns.

The ordinance, that was passed in November, requires gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds be removed from the city by either being sold to a licensed gun dealer or given to police for destruction.

The plaintiffs in the case claim the new law will "endanger public safety by giving violent criminals an advantage".
