There's a report that George Zimmerman left Miami in a hurry after hearing that someone had put out a bounty for his death.

The celebrity gossip website TMZ reports that the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted in the death of a Florida teenager was at the beach with his girlfriend and her child last week when people began harassing Zimmerman and told him there was a $10,000 bounty on his head.

They reportedly retreated to their hotel room, as a crowd followed them.

Hotel security swept the room and stood guard that day and night before Zimmerman taped an interview with CNN.

TMZ says Zimmerman left Miami right after the interview session.
