A Maine teenager will probably never take another "selfie" with wildland creatures after a photo op with a squirrel went awry.

The 17-year-old was on a trip looking at colleges and says he saw what appeared to be a friendly squirrel on a hand rail while walking through a park near Tampa, Florida.

So he took a "selfie'' with the squirrel, but the flash and noises from his camera phone scared the animal, which climbed under the teen's shirt and hung onto his back. He says he threw himself on the ground and that finally got the squirrel to let go.
