Police are trying to find the witness who may have last seen a missing patient before she was discovered dead in a locked stairwell at San Francisco General Hospital.

Investigators say the body of 57-year-old Lynne Spalding, who went missing from her hospital room on September 21st, was found in the rarely used stairwell by a building engineer on October 8th.

Four days prior, however, a hospital worker reported to a nurse that someone appeared to have been passed out in the stairwell.  Police want to speak to that employee, who's described as an Asian male in his 30s, about five-feet-eight, and with a medium build.

Anyone with information should contact the San Francisco Police Department.
