Looks like the force was NOT with Han Solo yesterday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford broke his ankle on the set of “Star Wars: Episode VII” in England.
An insider said that it was the door of the Millennium Falcon that injured the 71-year-old. You’ll recall that that’s the spacecraft from the original films that he pilots. In a statement, Disney said that Ford was getting care in a local hospital and that shooting would continue as planned while he recuperates.
Let’s hope Ford recovers quickly. Deadline reports that he’s already scheduled to another “Blade Runner” movie, and Disney is looking possibly doing another “Indiana Jones” film.
One More Thing… Even though no one wants to see Harrison Ford injured, his accident is giving us our first real glance into the plot for “Star Wars: Episode VII.” All we know so far is that the J.J. Abrams-directed film will take place about 30 years after 1983’s “Return of the Jedi.” Now we know that the Millennium Falcon is on-board for this film.
