When Mel Gibson starts yelling at cops at a DUI checkpoint, it's usually cause for concern. But this time around, all's well that ends well.
According to TMZ, Mel was stopped at a checkpoint on California's Pacific Coast Highway, not far from the infamous scene of his drunken, antisemitic rant in 2006. He was perfectly sober this time around, but the problem arose when he couldn't find his driver's license. Officers asked him to proceed to a secondary screening spot, and that's when the famous Gibson temper came out. He yelled, "Why are you harassing me? I have had problems with you Lost Hills [Malibu] deputies in the past."
But when the cops were satisfied that Mel wasn't drunk, they let him off with a warning and he drove away.
