Controversial in life - in death - and life again, Michael Jackson's family would have given his avatar performance at the Billboard Music Awards a "thumbs up." That's according to his older brother Jackie, who gushed to "Extra" that the performance was amazing. Not so for Jermaine, however, who basically admitted to being horrified and said his late brother would have been upset to be "used" in such a way.

In case you've been under a rock, MJ made a surprise appearance at Sunday night's annual BBMA ceremony via a hologram (or avatar as it's been called) performance of "Slave to the Rhythm," which made it look eerily like he was actually up on stage. Although the star passed away in 2009, he's just scored his latest number one album with the posthumous record "Xscape" going straight to the top of the UK charts. It features eight previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1983 and 2009 that have been reworked by top producers including Timberland.
