Looks like Miley Cyrus isn’t the only artist getting the educational treatment. New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts will offer a course that showcases the rise of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“Sean Combs & Urban Culture” will show how Combs was able to capitalize on the "social and cultural and political changes" in the 1990s to build a hip-hop empire. The course will include "critical readings, viewings and listening assignments" to guide students through Diddy's career.
The History & Criticism class – which will be offered through the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music – will be taught by former Bad Boy Records Vice President of Marketing and Promotions Jayson Jackson.
