Rihanna was the big winner last night (Thursday) at the first-ever iHeartRadio Music Awards. She picked up four trophies, including the coveted Song of the Year award for “Stay” featuring Mikky Ekko and the night's biggest honor, Artist of the Year. This in spite of her own L.A. story: traffic. Rihanna won the evening's first award (for Hip-Hop/R&B Song of the Year for "Pour It Up"), but presenter Pitbull had to accept for her – because she was stuck in traffic on the 405. When she got to the Shrine Auditorium, she got people talking with her unique hair and makeup, and ended up being the night's biggest winner.

The other two major highlights of the show were the introduction of the new Michael Jackson song “Love Never Felt So Good.” As that was happening, Justin Timberlake dropped a bomb regarding MJ's new song on Instagram...he's on it!

During MJ’s recording, Usher took the stage to dance along but let the King of Pop’s vocals carry the night. Jared Leto’s poignant tribute to Los Angeles was interspersed with a video montage of stars and impersonators telling their stories about L.A.
