Robin Thicke may have blurred a few too many lines -- he and wife Paula Patton have just announced that they're separating.

Robin Thicke's cancelled shows over the weekend were not due to illness, as he had previously announced, but instead because he was trying to save his marriage.

The singer and his wife Paula Patton announced their separation yesterday. Last Friday, Thicke cancelled his show in Atlanta, citing throat problems, but then hopped a flight to Vancouver to meet with his wife where she is shooting a movie. The next day, he cancelled his Orlando concert so that he could spend time with his son at Disney World.

Thicke spent a lot of time talking about his marriage in the wake of his sexy Miley Cyrus collaboration, saying he and Patton had an "unconventional" relationship, but were "very much in love." But that tune changed on Tuesday, when the pair issued a joint statement saying, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
