Last March, Zumyah Thorpe's pregnant mother and two younger sisters were killed by a drunk driver in a pickup truck colliding with her Volkswagen Jetta in Ohio. Zumyah survived along with her older sister, Zulaikah. Zumyah sustained traumatic brain injuries, and spent the last year recovering from "significant impairments to her motor and language skills," according to the "Today" show. Doctors say the music of Bruno Mars has been a big part in Zumyah's recovery.
That was not lost on Bruno, who serenaded Zumyah during his concert in Cleveland this past weekend. The entire crowd go in on the fun.
Afterwards, Bruno was seen giving Zumyah his guitar, and met with her and her grandparents…
What an awesome thing for Bruno to do.
