Vogue apologizes for Kendall Jenner cultural appropriation backlash

Vogue Magazine issues a public apology after photo of Kendall Jenner received backlash for cultural appropriation. Both the magazine and Jenner posted this photo (below) for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. 

The internet had mixed reactions to the photo. Many are validating the uproar behind the backlash. Others are claiming that spectators are being '"too sensitive". See the photo under question below:

Vogue gave this statement to E! News addressing the controversy:

"The image is meant to be an update of the romantic Edwardian/Gibson Girl hair which suits the period feel of the Brock Collection, and also the big hair of the '60s and the early '70s [...] We apologize if it came across differently than intended, and we certainly did not mean to offend anyone by it."
