Brothers Balance Owning A Business, Going To School & Giving Back #GoodNews

Shane and Nigel Mushambi may be in middle school, but the young entrepreneurs are building an empire while giving back to the community. The 13- and 12-year-old, respectively, started their Two Bros. in the Kitchen bakery business after winning a local competition three years row.

The Mushabis donate a portion of their proceeds to various nonprofit through their Pay It Forward program. They’ve also donated hundreds of meals to the homeless. And when they’re not whipping up treats, the two are busy taking college courses. Shane is taking college-level math and engineering courses at Houston Community College while Nigel is taking a pre-calculus course in the fall.

As if that isn’t enough, Shane and Nigel just published their first book, “Beyond The Kitchen.” According to Shane, “It teaches how you don’t have to be perfect to succeed. It’s okay to fail as long as you learn from it.”
