iHeartRadio Music Festival performer Chance the Rapper says that criticshave tried to “shame” him for mentioning how much he loves his wife,Kirsten Corley, on his new album, “The Big Day.” He believes they want him to commit suicidefor showing loyalty to his spouse.
“I’m getting this crazy feeling that people want me to kill myself – That’s not my vibe at all, but I feel the push,” Chano tweeted. “And I feel like even more than that, some people want me to feel ashamed. Shame is heavy yo. And feeling shame for something that you were once prideful about is super heavy.” He also made it clear he’s NOT going to commit suicide and despite all the negativity, he loves his Mrs. no matter what anyone thinks. “The number one thing that’s been on my heart and has been reaffirmed in the last week that I’m now 100% sure of is.. That I LOVE my wife. I just want to reiterate that I don’t want to kill myself, nor am I ashamed of loving my wife. I think I just wanted to say out loud that I see the vibe.”
To lighten the mood, Chance concluded his messages by joking, “Tryna tell y'all how I feel now. I done f*ckaround missed chik fil a breakfast.”
