A beachwear company in Florida is using a new 16-year-old model with Down syndrome in its latest ad campaign.
Ethan Holtis modeling for Surf Style, a clothing and souvenir retail chain and they hope his work inspires other companies to be more inclusive.
Ethan’s mom, Phoy, says her son loves the water and has been on the Special Olympics paddleboard team and swim team, so this gig is a perfect match for him. Surf Style says they wanted to work with the teen because of his charisma, love of the camera, and to set an example of inclusion.
“I am very excited,” Ethan says. “It’s cool and I like it.”
