Ray J in Talks with Trump Administration to Pardon Suge Knight

Ray J has reportedly been in talks with the Trump Administration about a potential pardon for rapper Suge Knight.

Marion "Suge" Knight was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 28 years in prison after a hit-and-run that left one dead and another injured in 2015.

This comes after headlines surfaced that Knight had reportedly signed over his life rights to the 'One Wish' singer. Knight reportedly did so in hopes that Ray-J would find book/television/movie deals to tell the story of his story and that of the Death Row label.

A source close to Ray J says the pardon request was inspired by his ex-girlfriend, Kim Kardashian who has recently received public praise for her work with criminal justice reform, according to The Daily Mail.

"He saw what Kim was able to do with her work in the criminal justice system and he is dermined to show he can do the same," a source told The Daily Mail.

The singer hopes the president will pardon Knight for his crimes because he believes that "his friend has learned from his mistakes and his ready to turn over a new leaf", according to The Daily Mail's source.
