SoCal Community Stunned by ANOTHER High School Mass Shooting

Officials say it all took about 16-seconds for a Saugus High School high school student to draw a 45-caliber handgun, kill two-students and injure three more. He then reportedly turned his weapon on himself. And while he hasnโ€™t been named, friends of the accused shooter in Southern California community of Santa Clarita describe him as โ€œquiet.โ€ It was also his 16th birthday.

Students describe the alleged shooter as being on the cross country team, but keeping to himself especially after his father died two years ago. And according to various reports, the young man never gave any hint of issues that might suggest trouble. As for the victims, the havenโ€™t been named either. They are described as:

  • A 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, died after being taken to a hospital
  • The survivors include a 15-year-old girl, a 14-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy.
  • They were all found in the quad area of Saugus High School this morning before classes began.
  • The gunman is said to be in grave condition.

All schools in the district will be closed today out of respect โ€“ and while there have been a number of reports about some kind of a warning via social media the night before, thatโ€™s been debunked by officials. Police say they still have no motive, but do not suspect any โ€˜ideologyโ€™ is at play.

  • Meanwhile, President Trump is sending his condolences to the families and friends of the victims of today's mass shooting at a Southern California high school. Trump said on Twitter that "we pray for the speedy recovery of the wounded."
