Being a school bus driver isn’t the job for everyone, but Curtis Jenkins loves bringing kids to and from Lake Highlands Elementary in Dallas, Texas. He gives them all responsibilities and treats them like his own kids, even bringing them presents throughout the year, but the gifts aren’t even what they love most about him.
The kids say Jenkins helps anyone in need and some even say the bus ride is the best part of their day. And when word got out about this beloved, generous school bus driver, someone wanted to repay his kindness. An anonymous person reached out to school superintendent Jeannie Stone with a thank you gift for his kindness: a brand new car! She also gave him a promotion - he’s now teaching others how to have better student relationships.
