Reality TV Show "Cops" Canceled After 33 Seasons

It looks like the long time reality TV show "Cops" has come to an end. The original reality TV show, showing cops on the beat, chasing down bad guys and solving crimes so easily has been canceled by Paramount Network (a ViacomCBS owned Company) after 33 seasons. A spokesperson for the network said "Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don't have any current or future plans for it to return."

The reality TV show got it's start in 1989 on Fox, until Fox canceled it and then Spike TV (now Paramount Network) picked it up in 2013. With the turmoil around the county regarding the death of George Floyd, many networks have either pulled their Cop themed shows or canceled them like Paramount Network did. Cops have been under fire for a while now for the way they portrayed Black suspects and the tactics that police officers used on the show.

If you just can't do without your fix of Cops, the bad boy show will still have re-runs aired on WGN America until the end of June and the streaming service Pluto TV.
