Four Former California Governors with Gavin Newsom Urge Use of Masks

Four former California governors joined Gov. Gavin Newsom in a campaign that urges people to wear a mask, to stop the spread of coronavirus.

A video released Monday morning showed Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jerry Brown, Gray Davis and Pete Wilson spreading the message.

The message from two former Republican governors and two Democrats is that COVID-19 is still spreading, and as people return to a more normal life, it is still important to prevent the spread of the virus.

“This is not about being weak,” Schwarzenegger says in the video.

The new video comes after Newsom’s order last Thursday, which requires Californians to wear face coverings in most indoor settings and outdoors when physical distancing isn’t possible.
