21 Savage Announces Free Online Financial Program For Youth

21 Savage and his foundation, Leading By Example, are launching a free online financial literacy education program for youth, as per Associated Press.

Aimed at the youth sheltered at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the nationwide "Bank Account At Home" initiative, which was announced on Wednesday (July 1), is a partnership with the mobile banking service provider, Chime, as well as the education technology platform EverFi and nonprofit Juma Ventures. Its primary goal is to educate youth about the ins and outs of managing and earning money. The venture will also see affiliation with Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to provide free WiFi and tablets to underserved students in the city.

"I started my Bank Account financial literacy program in 2018 to help the youth with money management. Now that times are hard as ever during this pandemic and so many families are affected across the country, I feel it’s more important than ever to give our next generation of leaders the tools to succeed in life," the rapper said in a statement.

If you head over to the program's official website, you'll notice that the financial literacy is aimed at elementary school, middle school and high school students. Additional tools and scholarship opportunities will be announced by the program in August.
