4.2 Earthquake Hits Monterey County

On Saturday (January 16) a 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck just a few miles southeast of Aromas, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake was felt much across the South Bay and some parts of the East Bay. Following the quake was a preliminary 3.0 magnitude aftershock in the same general area.
