I am not grateful Black woman: Tiffany Haddish, Grammy's

Let me make a fresh cup of tea for this one ๐Ÿต

Last week Tiffany Haddish gave an exclusive to Vanity Fair detailing the Grammyโ€™s asking her to host the 3-hour pre-show for free. They also told Tiffany she would have to pay for her own hair and makeup:

โ€œAll of that would have to come out of my pocket,โ€ she said, adding, โ€œI donโ€™t know if this might mean I might not get nominated ever again, but I think itโ€™s disrespectful.โ€

And for those that are asking why she didnโ€™t just do it for exposer, she said โ€œI was like, โ€˜The exposure is amazing but I think I have enough. I appreciate you guys asking,โ€™ Haddish said. โ€œAnd as much as I appreciate the honor of being nominated, thatโ€™s not okay. This is something that needs to be addressed,โ€ Haddish said. โ€œHow many other people have they done that to? Itโ€™s like a guy asking you on a date but telling you that you have to pay for it." Kelechi Okafor took to her IGTV with a video called โ€œIโ€™m not a grateful Black womanโ€ in defense of Tiffany Haddish. In case you missed it, check it out below:

I could add more, but why? She said everything ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ What I will add is a thank you to Tiffany Haddish. A thank you for standing up for your worth. A thank you for reminding Black women that exposer is not enough. And a thank you for speaking up in a time where so many people are worried about getting canceled. And a thank you for reminding people itโ€™s not enough to just have Black women at the table. #PayTheFee!

Recording Academy interim chief Harvey Mason, jr personally reached out to Tiffany after getting word of what happened and apologized. He also spoke out via his Instagram.
