Looks like the Universal Hip Hop Museum is becoming a reality. Kurtis Blow – who’ll be the chairman – says that the $30 million dollar state-of-the- art interactive museum will utilize 3D holograms of rappers of the past, and a mobile truck that will drive around the city bringing exhibitions to the streets. Kids will be able to come and learn to DJ ad there will be a recording studio for aspiring rappers to record their songs.
The Universal Hip Hop Museum will open in the summer of 2018 in the South Bronx, where hip-hop was born. Kurtis said, “The genesis was in the South Bronx so we want to keep it true to form. We're hoping we can bring the whole world to the Bronx.”
