Bruno Mars has performed during the Super Bowl half-time show twice, but even though he was only playing a pre-Super Bowl party this year, that doesn’t mean he phoned it in. Bruno headlined the pop-up venue Club Nomadic in Houston on Friday and reportedly wowed the crowd with a high-energy 90-minute set that opened with his latest hit “24K Magic.”
“Houston we here … we’re trying to have some fun tonight,” he yelled to the crowd, which included John Legend, Michael Strahan and CeeLo Green. “I wanna see everyone moving. I wanna see everyone dancing.” Word is, he did.
In addition to his own hits including “Treasure,” “Just the Way You Are,” “Locked Out of Heaven,” and “When I Was Your Man,” Bruno’s set also featured covers of Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You,” Ginuwine’s “Pony” and Soul for Real’s “Candy Rain,” and ended with his mega hit “Uptown Funk.”
