The organizers of Coachella may have been blindsided by Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement, but they’re still counting on her to deliver the goods. They’re so confident that she’ll be able to headline that they haven’t reached out to anyone else.
An insider says that it’s a slippery slope for them to inquire whether a pregnant woman can perform. And even though Bey’s first pregnancy was high-risk and she needed bed rest, there still aren’t any alternative plans.
No one’s sure how far along Mrs. Carter is, but we’ll have a better handle on her condition when she performs on the GRAMMY Awards on Sunday.
- ONE MORE THING! Bey’s being sued over her song, “Formation.” The estate of New Orleans rapper Anthony Barré – also known as Messy Mya – claims that she lifted the line, "I like that" phrase – in his voice – without permission from the video for his 2010 song, “A 27 Piece Huh?” They claimed they tried to talk to her about it, but she blew them off. Now they want more than $20 million bucks in back royalties and other damages for using some of his final recorded words.
