Well, it didn’t take long for Carlos Santana to backpedal on his comments about why Adele won the Album of the Year GRAMMY over Beyoncé.
Carlos said in an interview that he thought Adele won because “she can sing, ” whereas Bey “is very beautiful to look at and it's more like modeling kind of music.”
Needless to say Queen Bey’s #BeyHive wasn’t having any of it, and Santana wound up taking to Facebook to clarify what he meant by his comments. "My intent was to congratulate Adele on her amazing night at the Grammies (sic). ... I have the utmost respect for (Beyoncé) as an artist and a person,” he wrote. “She deserves all the accolades that come her way.”
