An 18-year-old in Ohio finds out he was classified as a missing person from Alabama 13 years ago after he tried to apply for college.
Julian Hernandez was reported missing from his Birmingham, Alabama home in 2002 by his mother. His father, Bobby Hernandez, apparently abducted him during a custody dispute, the Washington Post reported.
Julian then lived in Cleveland, Ohio with his father, who had changed their names. "I think he said he was from Alabama, but that's all I know about him. I knew he said he was in the Navy. That's what he told me," Mike Melnyk, a next-door neighbour of the father and son, told Newsnet 5.
