Quick-Thinking Fast Food Worker Saves Young Boy's Life

A fast food worker in Tennessee is being hailed a hero after she saved a toddler's life.

Kaela Eads was working the drive-thru window at Pal's Sudden Service when a panicked mother ran up to her with her young son in her arms and said he had stopped breathing.

She asked if anyone inside the restaurant knew CPR, and it just so happened that Eads did. So, the 18-year-old jumped into action. She ran outside into the parking lot, put the boy on the ground and administered CPR while the mother called 911.

Eads says after several chest compressions, she could hear the boy start breathing. Several minutes later, paramedics arrived and took over.

Medics say there's no doubt that Eads saved the boy's life.

Eads says she learned CPR as part of the restaurant's training class, but never expected she's one day have to use it.
