So I posted this a little over a year ago, but I figured I should bring this up again, because, unfortunately it's STILL relevant. A young Black woman speaks out on the cultural stigma of "talking White," instead of being called articulate in their communication.
I have been there; if I had a nickel for being trolled and "spoke like a White boy" or "the Whitest Black guy I know" and not even considering Black Folk CAN speak with some intelligence.
At this point in my life, I could care LESS what people think about me, I know the hard it took to get to where I am, but even in 2017 people troll other folks who try to better themselves.
Listen to her in the video above, and listen to her awesome message...and listen to this guy's rebuttal and his own verson of the conversation!
