Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o are set to star in a movie based on a viral tweet. While a lot of people are in love with the idea, Childish Gambino is not one of them.
The rapper also known as actor Donald Glover was discussing the situation with his "Atlanta" co-star Zazie Beetz while writing scripts. Glover offered: “I’m excited that people want to watch that movie, but we can give them a better movie than that. Twitter shouldn’t be writing it.” Zazie agreed.
For the record, Issa Rae – not Twitter – is writing the script, with Ava DuVernay on board to direct. Production is set to start in 2018.
