Dr. Dre is doing his part to bring culture to Compton. He’s donating $10 million dollars to build a performing arts center at the new Compton High School.

The center will include a 12-hundred seat theater and state-of-the-art equipment to teach the kids how to do digital media production. Dre’s goal is to “provide kids with the kind of tools and learning they deserve.”

The NWA founder says he’ll take charge of raising the rest of the money for the center, which is expected to break ground in 2020.
