A man in New York recently planned the sweetest 50th anniversary surprise for his wife. James Gauthier spent weeks organizing an intimate ceremony. The 72 year old said he only had one chance to get right, it so he pulled out all the stops for the occasion.
When the big day came, Lynn just thought the family was coming over for dinner. While everyone was eating, the Army vet snuck off to throw on his old military uniform then dropped down to one knee and proposed just like he did in 1968. Only a few people knew what was going on, so the surprise left everyone in tears. She did say yes – again – and their grandkids officiated the wedding. They even shared slow a dance to their favorite song, "Forever Never Ends.”
Apparently, this was their third ceremony. In 1968, they actually they had a Catholic and a Methodist ceremony. Let’s hope the third “I Do” was a charm.
