Baseball Legend Hank Aaron Passes Away At Age 86

Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

A man who was revered on and off the diamond, has passed away. Henry "Hank" Aaron passed away Friday morning at the age of 86 according to his family.

Aaron was the first baseball player to surpass Babe Ruth's home run record (before the steroids era). Aaron was well respected, and held in high regard for being an advocate for Black players, helping put the the sport of baseball forward and being a role model from the youth and society as a whole.

While chasing Babe Ruth's record, it has been reported that he received hundreds of thousands of hate and racist mail. However, the hate did not deter him.

A cause of death has yet to be released. We tip our hats to not only a legend, but to a great man.
