Commission Say CA Has A Major Shortage Of Electric Car Charging Stations

COSTA RICA-ENERGY-ELECTRIC-CARS

Electric car sales are soaring in California, but it has a severe shortage of charging stations. New data shows the state is on track to surpass its goal of having at least one-and-a-half-million zero emission vehicles on its roads by 2025. But the California Energy Commission projects the state will be at least 80-thousand public charging ports shy of what it will need by then.

Electric car sales surged 84-percent last year, but advocates fear a backlash and a slowdown if the charging infrastructure doesn't keep up.
