An Amber Alert has been issued by the California Highway Patrol, after a 2 year old boy was taken away by his father in Merced, Friday night.
Steven Weir, the father of 2 year old John Weir, is considered armed and dangerous.
They are believed to be in a red 2005 Hyundai Elantra with the California license plate 5SKT544.
Weir is 32 years old, 5'10" and weighs 300 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
The child has blonde hair and blue eyes.
