Study: Plant-Based Protein Linked To Fewer Deaths Than Animal Protein

Plant-based protein like beans and nuts may be better for your health than animal protein like meat and dairy.

This is according to a study published this week in the Journal of the American Heart Association. The study says plant-based protein is linked to fewer deaths related to dementia and heart disease than animal protein. The researchers based at the University of Iowa studied over 100,000 post-menopausal women for nearly 20 years.
