This 21-year-old man in Florida is getting sentenced to jail time is insane! Deandre Somerville was sentenced to 10-days in jail, probation for 1 year, and 150 hours of community service after he accidentally overslept for jury duty.
Somerville appeared the first time and was told to return the next day because he was selected for the jury. The following day Somerville states he accidentally overslept and missed his jury duty. When he woke up, he headed to work instead of calling to the court not knowing there would be major repercussions. Somerville has no criminal record and actual takes care of his disabled grandfather.
