See How You Can Help With The California Fire Relief

At least 17 people are said to be dead as over a dozen wildfires continue to rage on in California, and officials are saying they expect more deaths as time goes on.  The largest are burning in the Northern California wine country.  One county north of San Francisco has more than 150 reports of missing persons.  More than 100 people were being treated at Napa and Sonoma-area hospitals for fire-related injuries such as burns and smoke inhalation.

More than 20-thousand people have been forced to evacuate the region and fires have destroyed at least 1,500 homes and other structures.  Meanwhile, the Canyon Fire 2 in Southern California keeps growing.  Officials say the fire in the Anaheim Hills is now at 75-hundred acres and is only five percent contained.

The American Red Cross is asking for donations to help fire victims.  You can give online at  Please consider donating to the Red Cross by dialing #250 from your mobile device and when prompted, say the keyword, "Fire relief." You may also call 800-RED-CROSS or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.  Volunteers are also needed to help the ARC respond to the wildfires.  Visit to register as a disaster service worker
