While most of us are still polishing off our kids’ candy haul from Halloween last week, some second graders in Colorado donated theirs to a good cause. Students at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School in Arapahoe County held a candy drive and collected candy to give to the troops, showing you’re never too young to do something nice for someone else.
The students donated candy to local National Guard troops and wrote cards and made posters, thanking them for their service and letting them know they’re appreciated. The candy donation and thank you cards are a great way for little ones to learn how important it is to serve others in the community.
