JAY-Z Confirms Joint Album With Beyonce, Talks Kanye West Issues

Music legend JAY-Z sat down with The New York Times for a very revealing interview, possibly the rapper's most revealing one in his entire career.

Hov doesn't do many interviews. So, on the rare chance that he actually does one, he has our full attention. In this specific conversation, JAY opened up about many different topics. From feeling depressed at the height of his career, 4:44, Beyoncè, Kanye West and much more.

There have been rumors that both himself and his wife worked on a joint album. During the interview, Jigga Man confirmed that these rumors are 100% true. "We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together," he explained. "And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music."

When discussing West, who he's had a rocky relationship with for the past year, JAY added that he spoke to the troubled star not too long ago. Hov said: "I [talked to] Kanye the other day, just to tell him, like, he's my brother. I love Kanye. I do. It's a complicated relationship with us... and we're both entertainers. It's always been like a little underlying competition with your big brother."

Jigga continued, "In the long relationship, you know, hopefully when we're 89 we look at this six months or whatever time and we laugh at that."
