Russell Simmons is being accused of rape again in a new $10 million lawsuit.
The lawsuit, filed Friday by a woman identified only as Jane Doe, claims she and her young son met the music mogul at a concert in Los Angeles and were invited backstage. She says Simmons invited her out for drinks after she dropped off her son and the two made a stop at his hotel room. There, she claims Simmons threw her on the bed and raped her.
Simmons issued a statement to Billboard denying the new allegations saying, "They have shocked me to my core as I have never been abusive or violent in any way in my relations with women. I have submitted myself to multiple lie detector tests. I denied forced sex and sexual harassment allegations brought against me in each test; I also answered no to the question, 'Have you ever physically forced any woman to have sexual intercourse?' I passed all of the lie detector tests."
Over the past few months, Simmons has been accused of sexual misconduct by at least 16 women. In January, he was sued by a woman named Jennifer Jarosik who claims he attacked her inside his home in 2016.
