A gunman, naked from the waist down, went on a shooting spree at a Tennessee Waffle House early Sunday, killing four and wounding four others, before a customer was able to take the weapon away from him.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Travis Reinking, was armed with a AR-15 rifle, but fled the scene after 29-year-old customer James Shaw Jr. was able to wrestle the rifle away from him and throw it over the counter.
Nashville Mayor David Briley said of Shaw, "Thrown into crisis, he acted with courage. He told me he saw an opportunity and he took it. He saved lives. That is certain and we are all thankful to him for his bravery."
Authorities believe that Reinking, who is from Illinois, fled to his apartment and got some pants and could be carrying two other weapons. Murder warrants were issued for his arrest. (New York Daily News)
