Woman is Awarded For Helping Homeless Youth in Her City #GoodNews

Stephanie Taylor has dedicated the past 20 years of her life to helping homeless and at-risk youth at the Covenant House Michigan. The nonprofit organization provides shelter, vocational programs and other services to at risk youth ages 18-24.

The way Stephanie sees it, "This can be your sister, your brother, and I tell people all the time, we're not immune. Something (can) happen to us. Who is going to be out there to approach your kid if their family members turn their back on him? Just to hear kids say, 'I wouldn't know what I would have done if you hadn't pulled up and helped me.'"

Taylor’s dedication and love for helping others has earned the Lizzie Award. It’s an award given to people who devote themselves to Covenant House Michigan and its mission of helping others.
